About S'Morris Travels

Welcome to S’Morris Travels where we share our travel adventures, experiences, and mistakes so you can learn from us. We’re both retired military, and being in our early 50s we’re no longer of backpacking and hostel nomads age. While we don’t rough it, luxury isn’t always in the budget either so we focus on getting the best experience from our budget. We do dabble in the points and rewards game which can upscale some of our travel experiences, mostly on flights and hotels. If you want no frills, no filters, just real and honest experiences and reviews, then you’ve found the right place. We hope you enjoy and let us know how your experience has been!

Destinations

North America

Our country and continent are full of surprises and hidden gems. We aim to find them all, even in North Dakota (eventually).

Europe

The 'old world' is a history buff's playground. There is so much to see and experience; we've only begun to scratch the surface!

Yet to come...

Perhaps the best part of traveling- finding the unknown, the unexpected, and the uncommon. Where is our next adventure?

ABOUT US

We're not professional travel hackers, but we love to try!

Jeremy and Shana are retired US Coast Guard helicopter pilots who enjoy all aspects of the traveling experience. Jeremy’s first trip to Europe was at age 16 and, while 30 years in the military afforded different travel experiences, he has kept expanding his travel horizons. Shana’s first trip to Europe was at age 47 and keeps looking for reasons to go back! Jeremy has been to 49 states, Shana to 43, and both are still looking for a reason to visit North Dakota. While planners at heart, we have been known to throw caution to the wind and visit a city without actually having booked any experiences. From city to countryside, hotels to camping, we enjoy all the advantages that come with retirement and almost being empty nesters. 4 down and 1 to go!
