Our Story
Retired military and in our early 50s, we no longer are backpacking and hostels nomads. Our adventure dictates our level of comfort. We focus on getting the best experience with our budget. We do dabble in the points and rewards game which can upscale some of our travel experiences, mostly on flights and hotels. If you want no frills, no filters, just real and honest experiences and reviews, then you’ve found the right place. We hope you enjoy and let us know how your experience has been!
Our Experience
Jeremy and Shana are retired US Coast Guard helicopter pilots who enjoy all aspects of the traveling experience. Jeremy’s first trip to Europe was at age 16 and, while 30 years in the military afforded different travel experiences, he has kept expanding his travel horizons. Shana’s first trip to Europe was at age 47 and keeps looking for reasons to go back! Jeremy has been to 49 states, Shana to 43, and both are still looking for a reason to visit North Dakota. While planners at heart, we have been known to throw caution to the wind and visit a city without actually having booked any experiences. From city to countryside, hotels to camping, we enjoy all the advantages that come with retirement and almost being empty nesters. 4 down and 1 to go!
